Self-service check-in: saving passengers´ time

Passengers can now choose between checking themselves in, in under a minute, and making their own choice of seat on the flight, or conventional check-in service at the counter. There are 16 self-services for passengers in the air terminal.

Self-service check-in is initially only available for Icelandair and SAS flights. Experience from other countries with self-service check-in indicates that passengers welcome the opportunity to check themselves in and avoid queuing, and a similar response is foreseen here in Iceland.

After using the self-service check-in, the passenger hands his/her luggage in at the Fast Bag Drop-off. Those with only carry-on luggage go straight up to the Departures on Level 2.
